Custom Furniture Orders
Furniture made for your space, not adapted to it.
Almost everything in our showroom can be customized. Choose your fabric, your wood stain, your hardware, your configuration, and let us help you build a piece that's exactly right for your home.

Can I Customize Furniture at Nordic Spaces?
Yes. Customization is at the heart of what we do, and almost every piece on our showroom floor can be customized in some way. Most pieces can be tailored across:
- Fabrics (hundreds of options across patterns, weaves, performance grades, and natural fibers)
- Leathers (full-grain, top-grain, semi-aniline, and protected leathers in dozens of colors)
- Wood species and stain finishes
- Hardware (knobs, pulls, leg styles, base options)
- Dimensions (where the manufacturer supports it)
- Configuration (sectional layouts, sofa arm styles, table extension options)
How Does the Custom Order Process Work?
1. Bring Inspiration
It starts with an idea. Maybe you've seen a sofa silhouette you love but want it in a different fabric. Maybe you need a dining table that extends to seat eight without overwhelming the room when it's just two of you. Maybe you've fallen in love with a leather chair in a different finish than what's on the floor. Bring photos, swatches, dimensions, or just a starting point. We'll take it from there.
2. Choose Your Materials
Our team will walk you through fabric and finish options in person. We'll pull samples, talk through durability, and help you compare colors in our showroom's natural light. This is the part that's hardest to do online, which is why we recommend an in-person visit when fabric, finish, or scale matters to the final result.
3. Finalize Specifications
Once you've chosen materials, we'll confirm dimensions, configuration, and any other build specifications. We'll review the order with you, walk through the timeline, and answer any questions before placing it with the manufacturer.
4. Place the Order
Custom orders are placed directly with the manufacturer. Most lead times run between 8 and 14 weeks, though some brands can be faster or slower depending on configuration and current production schedules. We'll give you an estimated date and keep you informed if anything changes.
5. Delivery and Installation
When your custom piece arrives at our warehouse, our team inspects it before scheduling delivery. We'll bring it inside, place it in the room of your choice, and make sure it looks the way you imagined. See our Delivery page for full details.
