What Is Nordic Spaces?

Nordic Spaces is a curated furniture showroom in midtown Anchorage that specializes in modern Scandinavian and Nordic-inspired design. We carry premium brands from Denmark, Norway, Canada, and the United States, all selected for their commitment to craftsmanship, sustainable materials, and timeless design.

We share a building and a philosophy with our sister store, Treeforms, which has served the Anchorage community for decades. Where Treeforms offers a broader selection across multiple style categories, Nordic Spaces is built around a single, focused point of view: helping you bring the calm, considered beauty of modern Nordic design into your home.

What Is Our Mission?

To create warm, comfortable, and beautifully styled homes through modern Scandinavian design, specializing in comfort, quality craftsmanship, and thoughtfully chosen sustainable materials.

That's our mission, but it's also a philosophy. We believe great furniture isn't a transaction; it's an investment in how you live every day. Our job is to help you make that investment with confidence, not pressure.

What Are Our Core Values?

  • Intentional Design.
Every piece should serve a purpose. We bring together beauty, function, and simplicity to create spaces that feel calm and thoughtfully lived in.
  • Comfort Comes First.
A home should feel as good as it looks. We prioritize comfort in every detail, creating spaces people can truly relax into and live in every day.
  • Quality and Craftsmanship.
We're committed to well-made furniture built to last, honoring the materials, the makers, and the details that elevate a piece from ordinary to exceptional.
  • Thoughtful Materials.
We value sustainability and responsibility, choosing materials and partners that reflect care for both people and the environment whenever possible.
  • Genuine Customer Care.
We create a welcoming, pressure-free experience where customers feel heard, supported, and confident. Great design starts with understanding how people truly live.

Who Do We Serve?

Our customers are people who want their homes to feel like home. Established homeowners refining a space they've spent years in. Young professionals investing in their first real furniture. Families looking for pieces that hold up to real life. Designers and design enthusiasts who recognize quality craftsmanship and want it nearby.

What unites them is a shared appreciation for design that isn't loud, trendy, or disposable, but considered, comfortable, and genuinely built to last.

How Are We Different?

There are plenty of furniture stores in Anchorage. What sets Nordic Spaces apart is the combination of:

  • A curated showroom focused on modern Scandinavian design
  • Premium brands you won't find at every retailer (Skovby, BDI, Stressless, American Leather, Greenington)
  • On-staff designers who guide you through every decision at no cost
  • Genuine customization across fabric, stain, hardware, and configuration
  • A pressure-free shopping experience built around your timeline, not ours

Our Commitment to the Community

We're proud supporters of Challenge Alaska, an organization that provides life-changing recreation and adaptive sports programs for Alaskans with disabilities. Supporting causes that strengthen our community is one way we live out our values beyond the showroom.
